Diana Marjorie Martin
For over 30 years Diana Marjorie Martin has led her Christ-centred Fitness Classes (Wonderobics) for women in local Church halls as an outreach into the community. She was motivated to write her first book ‘Women’s Wonderobics’ with the purpose of passing on to a younger generation a ‘legacy of faith’.
Producing her 2 books and 2 DVDs has been a seven year journey for Diana — a Holy Spirit led journey from beginning to end.
Diana’s exercise class has an added dimension, a focus on Jesus who gives ‘ life more abundantly!’
Relaxing Floor Stretches at the end of the Workout leads into an inspirational Bible based Nature Reflection. This Relaxation time is a vehicle for the healing Presence of Jesus as His Spirit ministers hope, peace and direction through the power of His living Word. Lovely background music accompanies the Reflection.
During a sad time of bereavement it was a comforting experience for Diana to be anointed to write her second book “Spiritual Fitness”. This book for both men and women brings wisdom and revelation from God’s Word — the fruit of God’s grace in Diana’s life through many traumatic experiences and times of testing.
“My vision was definitely small at the beginning. I planned to have a detailed small booklet tucked inside the DVD cover of the Exercise Workout. However as I moved towards this project the Holy Spirit surprised me by giving inspiration for all the topics I have written about in this book — topics relating to our physical, emotional and spiritual health and well being. My small booklet needed to become LARGER. Larger pages meant I could honour the song writers by putting illustrations at the top of each song page. Tiny drawings were upgraded to photos.
Like the river of God true vision from Him has ongoing movement. Despite unforeseen delays and challenges along the way the Lord has continued to lead and provide for me as I have followed the flow of His Spirit to bring forth this God ordained project. I give God the glory for His great faithfulness and loving care. When my much loved husband Noel became ill and passed from this life to heaven in March 2009 I needed space for bereavement and family time. I have been very comforted and strengthened these last few years as the Lord has supernaturally energised me to pursue the work He has given me unto completion. The amazing confirmation of God’s Spirit and signs of His sovereign workings in this venture have been too numerous to tell.
As the book expanded I knew there would be two books. Book 2 would be for both men and women whereas Book 1 focuses mainly on my Women’s Exercise Programme with topics relating to stress and relaxation. One ministry I have maintained is my weekly morning class at a local Church hall. In fact three of the ladies seen on the DVD continue to attend my class. That which was destined to bless others has proved such a blessing to me during difficult times of stress and bereavement. Not only has the exercise workout been beneficial, but there is a healing anointing from the presence of the Lord when I share the Reflection messages. I feel wrapped around in the comforting love and grace of Jesus. The Holy Spirit ministers to the ladies relaxing on the floor His promised spiritual rest and I am also blessed and revived by this spiritual refreshing.”
